HubSpot has rolled out an exciting feature that’s set to simplify CRM setup: the ability to expand your data model with new objects and data templates. Whether you’re in Real Estate, Education, or Healthcare, this update is designed to make configuring your CRM easier and faster. So, what’s in it for you? Let’s break it down.

What’s New?

With this release, HubSpot gives admins the tools to accelerate CRM setup like never before. You now have access to a library of pre-built objects that can be tailored and activated in just a few clicks. And the best part? These objects automatically work with HubSpot’s core tools, meaning less time spent on manual customization.

To make things even easier, HubSpot introduced ready-to-go templates for some key industries:

  • Real Estate (Pro+)
  • Education (Pro+)
  • Healthcare (Enterprise)

These templates act as a “starter pack” for your CRM, loaded with industry-specific configurations like custom objects, properties, association labels, and even pipeline stages.

What’s Inside Each Template?

Every data template includes:

New Objects: Industry-specific entities like Courses, Appointments, Listings, and Services.

Recommended Custom Properties: Pre-built properties tailored to your data needs.

Pipeline Stages: Configurations that match your industry’s sales process.


For example, a real estate company might find a "Listings" object ready to go, while a healthcare business could see templates for "Appointments" and "Services." The customization options are endless and geared specifically toward your industry’s needs.

What could this mean for my team? 

Before this update, setting up a CRM often felt like a long, complicated project. Enterprise customers had to create custom objects from scratch—a process that took weeks of building, testing, and refining. Meanwhile, non-enterprise customers had to make do with repurposing HubSpot’s existing objects, which didn’t always fit perfectly.

Now, HubSpot has changed the game. With pre-built configurations tailored to your business, you can get your CRM up and running in a fraction of the time. No more piecing together your data model—just a few clicks, and you’re off to the races.

How can I get started?

It’s all about simplicity:

From the Data Model Overview page, super admins can now click "Define data model with templates." You’ll get a high-level overview of each template and its components.

Review, customize, and adjust objects, properties, labels, and pipelines to fit your business perfectly. Confirm your selections, and the new configurations will automatically be applied to your CRM.

Want to add objects outside of a template? No problem! Head to Settings > Data Management > Object Library, and you’ll find individual objects you can enable as needed.
